Escape Key Friends Day

We went on a group date with Ty & Courtnie Moore, Ben and Mandee Wheeler, and Katie. It was so much fun! We did "The Impossible" room and were soooo close to solving the puzzle. I can't believe we didn't figure it out! The last clue was staring us in the face the whole time. It's was so nice to get out with Chris and also our friends. Loves of laughter. Love these guys!

Gaining Weight!

You guys!!! You couldn't smack the smile off my face right now! We haven't seen an average daily weight gain this high since before his last open heart surgery! Even better, he has done it all on his own... not using the gtube!!! And he is gaining more than he needs to be. Wahoo!!!

My Heart is Like a Zoo

We accidentally stumbled upon a book at the library a few months ago called "My Heart is Like a Zoo." Of course we grabbed it cause it said heart and was a kids book, but I had no idea how much it would apply to our life. It is a darling book perfect for heart kids and families. I wrote the author to tell him our story and how it meant so much more to our family than the average audience. I asked if he would be willing to donate some books to the CICU at Primarys which he agreed to and he wanted to send Easton a little gift. Here it is. I love it. It means so much. It will be getting a pretty frame and being put in Easton's room.

Brothers Tackling

Easton is starting to get big enough to tackle with Cooper and as you can tell by Cooper's face, he couldn't be more excited! Easton even initiates it like in this picture when he saw Coops laying on the floor, he knew it was a perfect opportunity!

Obsessed Sports Fan

He has always been very detail oriented when it comes to sports. When he woke up early this morning I told him he could play with his football players in hopes I could get a little more shut eye. Little did I know the amount of requests he would have till his game was just right--- curtains open for light, DVD player for the scoreboard, the movie Invincible playing, the step ladder to put the "scoreboard" on the top step, his Thomas train tunnel for the other team to run through (his team runs through his football helmet "tunnel"), and those baby toys... those are fans. I think that was all. He will run plays for at least an hour probably. I told you he was born this way. As I walked away he said, "Mom, I love the Eagles."

Yellowstone & Island Park

We finally went on vacation! We went to Island Park and Yellowstone with Chris's family. It was a much needed vacation. Coops loved waking up right beside a golf course. He even got to go golfing on the golf course which he thought was so cool. We saw the Paint Pots, Old Faithful, a few waterfalls, and, of course, bison. We were surprised that was all the animals we saw. We played games and relaxed. We also went on a horse ride and canoeing. It was so beautiful. Our last day we went to Bear World, which the kids loved... mostly because of the rides. Easton loved petting the fat pig and wanted to pet the chickens. We fed the bears and the kids rode the rides several times. They are both little thrill seekers. Easton loved the rollercoaster and kept wanting to ride it. We enjoyed making memories together and the time away from home. The kids did great with the car ride and Cooper has been asking to go on vacation {"bacation"} again.

(Pictures to come.)

Mr. Roger's House

I drew our house and had Cooper draw a map since he has been telling us where Mr. Roger's house is. He is right on the turns basically and there are two houses before theirs. His memory is amazing.
